Tempe debuted as Jennie in Tchaikovsky Discovers America during the 2007-08 Season. Her last turn on a concert stage was at the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall where she performed in the chorus of the oratorio La Croisade des Enfants under the direction of Leonard Slatkin. She currently resides in Chicago where she has performed a variety of roles that include Maria in The Buddy Holly Story at Dury Lane Oakbrook, Marie in The Nutcracker and Marty in Grease – both at the Marriott Theatre, Max in Where the Wild Things Are – Emerald City Theatre, Clea in Floyd and Clea… – Goodman Theatre New Stages Series, Percy in Spitfire Grill – Provision Theatre, and Brooke in The Water Coolers – Lakeshore Theatre, Riverfront Theatre. Other regional credits include work with Drury Lane Oakbrook, First Folio Shakespeare, Light Opera Works and at the New York Music Theatre Festival, where the production, River’s End, received the TAM Award. Her vocal talents can be heard on the CDs Metaphysick and Live From the Other Side. Tempe is a proud member of Actor’s Equity and a graduate of Northwestern University.
