Alex Balestrieri (Alumnus)
Alex has performed the role of Karl in Mozart’s Magnificent Voyage and Christoph in Beethoven Lives Upstairs in cities across the US and Canada. He is active with Chicago’s acclaimed Redmoon theatre company where he both directs and acts and where he was seen on water (literally) in their production of Loves Me…Loves Me Not. Alex has performed theatre for young audiences at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre as Prince Wellington in The Princess and the Pea and as John in Peter Pan – The Musical!. Other Chicago credits include the title role in Mr. Tangerine at the Around the Coyote Festival, Arnold Epstein in Biloxi Blues at The New World Repertory, Salome, Tail Eats Snake, and Bare Bones and Skin at The Side Project, and in Two Grooms…, One and Other and Licks at The Bailiwick Repertory. New projects include the release of a film and fiddling with the staging of a Beckett novel while continuing to “fly fish” Wisconsin. Alex graduated from the University of Evansville in Indiana and thanks his friends and family for their support.
